Can anyone advise me on the most appropriate way to get a title for my F100? It was advertised when I bought it with clear title, but when I got there it was a bill of sale, etc.
In North Carolina, it takes 90 days from the time a NCDOT inspector looks at your truck to decide if it is safe on the road (essentially at the end of my restoration). You also need 3 dealer estimates for a bond.
Any other reasonably legitimate alternatives? I don't mind paying a reasonable price for a smooth and reasonably quick NC title.
Hi Scott,
Your much further ahead than I am. I don't even have a bill of sale.
I was planning on using Broadway Title Company to get me rolling (http://www.broadwaytitle.com/index.htm). They claim they will provide a "Letter of Title Law from the State, a Certificate of Registration and a Notarized Bill of Sale. This is everything you will need to transfer the Vehicle into your name in your state."
It sounds too good to be true but I'm going to try it anyway. Good luck
