Question Insulating The Intake

Having Just Felt The Intake It Seems To Me There Is A Lot Of Hot Aluminum For Intake Air To Pass Thru Before Reaching The Engine. Sure Looks Like Something That Could Be Improved. Looks Like Any Gains From A Cool Air Intake Will Be Lost Unless This Area Is Protected From Engine Heat. Granted The Intake And Exhaust Are Real Close Together But I Think Intake Air Would Pass Thru This Short Area With Minor Temp Increases If The Rest Of The Of The Long Aluminum Heat Sucking Tubes Were Protected From Engine Heat.
Any Suggestions, Maybe A Ceramic Heat Treatment?
