Hey guys, I've been thinking about getting a slide in dump body from truck craft or EZ dumper. Just wondering who has one and if they like it. I see they have an aluminum one now that only weighs 400 lbs. Its going to go into a 99 F350 4X4 reg cab with a PSD, SRW. How much payload do you think it can handle?
I would guess that your truck empty with the new dump, full fuel, etc would push 7000 lbs.
It will handle more than the "legal" load. I would venture to say that you might be able to haul 2600 lbs+. with the right tire choice. A lot of guys load even more than that though Your brakes are your limiting factor, after tire choice, IMHO.
Just a guess though. You need to weigh your truck to be sure.
