9"Rear End Question

9"Rear End Question
Does anyone know if a 9" Rear end out of a 74 Ford Thunderbird can be shortend? This Rear End came from the factory with Disk Brakes. When I search for info on it I always come up empty.

Hey, George. Yes, it can be narrowed.
You might consider swapping those brakes onto a truck 9" housing. I found that the disk brake assemblies that I salvaged from a Lincoln would fit onto a truck 9" housing. One of the axles shafts was the right length, too.
