Ford F150 2000 2Wdrive 4 wheel disk brakes 4 WABS ABS light on!!
In this forum I have read a lot and it seems the sensor on the differential sometimes is the culprit. I replace it. abs light still on. Remove neg battery cable wait then replace, no help. The speed sensor from the diff is open as I understood it should be about 1300 ohms. (from your forum) the books I have show a code set up for the abs. go to ford for a check out of the codes? is there another solution? Autozone dose not know about abs codes. Any help would be appreciated. fixer1 thanks
Autozone doesn't seem to have the capabilities to scan anything other than engine codes. I would take it to your dealer and have the ABS scanned. Even if you dont get them to fix it you should at least have a better idea of where to start.
Have you checked all your fuses?
Called ford in Birmingham Alabama. I need to make an appointment. The charge will be $59.95 just for the check and resetting the code. Disconnecting the battery will not reset the code. Looks like I have to bite the bullet. ws
I AM WAITING UNTILL MY SHOP WHERE I TRADE GETS IT'S SCANNER. Ford wants a too much to check. the shop should have their scanner to check ABS next week. He says they cost $4500 so I can't afford one. As soon as I get it scanned I can put the finnish on this problem. I sure hope it was the diferential speed sensor though. I'll be back. ws.
