I have a 1997 Ford F-150 Supercab, the color code is XC everytime I type the code in a website I get a Portofino metallic. Is this a light blue or a dark blue? My truck color looks like it could be Bright Atlantic Blue Metallic Clearcoat. What would be the proper paint code?

 

in 1997 i believe they only had 2 colors one being portofino blue and i believe it was called moon light blue.

Portofino Blue is a really light blue. it even looks like it could have some silver in it. its kind of close to a baby blue.

Moon light blue is more of a darker peral blue. close to a ford blue.

if you ahve a pic of the truck i can tell you exactly what one it is. as for the paint code i can not. best thing to do would be to call a local place that sells like dupont, PPG, BASF or any auto paint like that and they cold tell you the name.

I just looked in the shop manual and in 1997 there were 2 blues like deckedout said.
XC is Portofino Blue clear coat. It is light blue.
KM is Royal Blue clear coat.

 

My color code is XC, thanks for the help. I find a website that you put the color code, so I put XC and i got a dark like brownish color Portofino Metallic. I was just confused.
