I am leader of the High Plains Chapter. We are just getting started, since the chapter was just formed within the last few months or so. Check out the state chapters, way down at the bottom of the first forum page. We haven't been able to get a lot of things going this first summer of the High Plains Chapter, but if you'd like an example of what one chapter is doing, check out the Fordtoberfest, sponsored by the Kansas Chapter. This is the 3rd yer of their Fordtoberfest and it's getting bigger every year.
Basically, the chapters are a way of keeping in touch with state and local Ford people, exchanging ideas and thoughts, planning and/or sharing info about events being held locally or statewide. As one example of my plans for next year, I am thinking about making a banner with our logo and getting some of the Montana members to parade our vehicles in the Fair Parade. This year's motto would have been great for the Fords...."A Whole Lotta Horsepower!"
Over the next season, I am going to be doing another membership drive here on the forum, plus getting all the states in our chapter going with events of their own. The High Plains "Drifters" is spread out, encompassing 4 states, so getting a meet going with members from all states is a real toughie.... this year's meet was attempted in Kalispell, but didn't turn out as well as I had hoped. Maybe next summer, eh?
Please go down to the High Plains Chapter, request to join and get to know us all a tad better. I'd like to see our chapter grow and get more people interested in what could become one of the biggest truck "clubs" in the U.S.
Thanks for expressing an interest.
Hey.. if you need help getting a gallery of pics of your truck, let me know. If you don't have a digital camera, I can always take some pics for ya, give you the floppy and then you can post 'em here. We like to see a pic of everyone's truck...whether it be a show truck or your everyday driver, like mine.
