can u say engine shopping
howdy guys, newbie to the engine shopping world here. I'm goin to look at a recently "rebuilt" 72 351 for transplant, and I'm wondering what I should be looking for?? If there are any tips/tricks you can gimmi to figure if this engine is good...or a pile of junk! Thx and keep them wheels spinnin

compression test will tell you alot. post numbers and we can tell ya if its worth it or not. Good motor to start with though for sure

also look for antifreeze stains around the heads/block this will tell ya if it got hot or not and of course look for cracks and oil leaks around rear main and front seals.
