Camshaft Selection
I am currently replacing the 302 in my truck with a new one bored .030 over and I've had the heads ported and the manifolds gasket matched I also have full length headers and 3 inch exhaust with a 40 series flowmaster no cats. I was wondering what cam I should put in this motor. The reason I'm putting this in this section is I'm just wondering what cams any of you guys have used that have caused no computer problems and improved the performance of the engine. I'm not expecting any huge gains but anything will help I sometimes tow my mustang and most of the year I have my camper on with my bikes in tow. Do any of you still have any of the crane cams or any other manufacturers part#'s handy?. I ve tried to get advice locally but the parts stores here are no help I don't care about rough idle I would just like to optimize the power of the engine and it has to run of course. No one seems to know what cam will work without affecting the computer due to the speed density.

Look at www.compcams.com
They have a speed density cam listed. It's actually the xe250h ground with a 114 degree lobe separation angle.
