is it possible to put a mustang intake and plenum on 1995 f-150, and it work? my little 302 runs great, but a friend told me he had read somewhere in a hot rod mag about the swap, and it produced very good benefits. i don't know if it would all run on the f-150 computer correctly, i know the parts would bolt up, and the more i think about it while trying to fall asleep at night, it makes me want to try it. i know that just about anything you put your mind to can be done when you go about it the right way, but i'm wondering would i gain anymore performance from my pickup, what all would i have to change, and is it worth it in the long run? please help if you know, anyone!

Can be done, but not sure if it should be on a truck. Mustangs are light and usually low geared, so low-end torque is sacrificed for higher rpm flow. Should be Okay if the truck is geared low and you want to race. Truck intakes are better for what they are designed for: low-end torque. Mustangs might acutally benefit from the truck intake in that respect, but it won't fit under the hood. Not a problem on a truck to go the other way, though. Not sure about the computer, but it should be fine. I'm not that familiar with the mustang parts, but it shouldn't make enough difference with just an intake change, as long as the throttle body stuff(IAC, TPS) will hook up okay. Later mustangs were Mass Air, though, and most trucks are Speed Density, so to change THAT part of it, you'd have to go to a 'Stang computer or one from a Mass Air truck.
I'm pretty sure you'd have to do a mass air flow conversion. That drastic of a mod would probably screw up the SD computer. You can't just swap computers, either. Do a search, and you'll see what needs to be done.
