electrical system for 1994 explorer

I replaced the alternator and battery. My voltage indicator light still stays on. The battery is not getting charged.
Anyone have anything else i could check?

Check the wiring to the alternator & make sure both battery cables are clean & secure not only at the battery but also their other connections .
