Just because its marine, doesn't mean its waterproof. Any polyester resin based filler will absorb water. Epoxy resin fillers will absorb less water, and vinylester resin, the least or none.

Well, they must be still be more waterproof than regular body filler.

I've tried losening the two bolts (on both top sides), removing the gas strust,
and suspending the door on a ladder, with help...but, I can't change the height
of the door.
Currently, my lift door is TOO LOW, and is hitting the STRIKER PLATE with the bottom
of the door frame.
