It depends on the transmission and tire size. The answer to that question isn't going to help you at all.

What are you trying to accomplish?

Do you have a pickup in mine. Oh sorry I see you have one in mind. Id go with the 4:10 gears if it was me. You wont be lugging you rengine so much and will be much easier on it. Transmiission will benefit as well. Just my preference. What are you driving now? Do you have big tires?BTW I see you are from Nebraska where from. Im in Nebraska to.

I live in lincoln and most of the highway driving i do is in the eastern part of the state which has quite a few hills so i think i want something that will hold in OD and not shift a lot. i dont tow anything very often about 2000-3000 pounds when I do.

well right now i have a 92 with 3.55s and think about a 95-96 and am thinking that getting 3.73s might be better. I dont want anything to extreme.

A kid side swiped me and but a dent in the front panel and door and a big scuff down the side and dented up the rear wheel well. I got $3800 for it. Which was actually totaled. I am thinking I want to get something newer and sell it with the damage or take it in get the rust fixed and paint the hood which will cost $2400.

I was just curious at what the RPM difference was between the 2 gear selections and 3.08s are definately out of the question.
