I have a Magnaflow dual side exit exhaust on order....it's basically like the regular single system, but splits and exits on both sides behind the rear wheels. The dual magnaflow systems are 3" into the muffler and dual 2.5" outlets on the muffler for the tail pipes. That combined with the full Airaid intake and Superchips 1714 are going on the truck in the next week or two. I sold a mid 14 second 6.0L crew cab F-350 (exhaust and Superchips 1704) to downsize into the F-150, and the power difference is hard to get used to. Hopefully these three mods will really help crank out some better power from the 3V. I may have to throw it on a dyno to see what HP gains I really get from these mods.
If you do, please report the results back to us.

As you probably know, in order for it to mean anything, you'll have to dyno it before and after. Ford's optimistic horse power specs are legendary.

Other than the obvious appearance advantage.....Does anyone really think that the difference would be that great between stock tailpipe (after the muffler) and a mandrel bent piece? It's relatively short and i can't believe it would be worth any noticeable (seat of the pants) difference.

With all this back and forth going on I'm seriously considering just swapping out the stock muffler with a Magnaflow since it's the biggest restriction and saving the rest of the $300 - $400 for the intake and the programmer......

The only drawback to this whole idea is that the stainless tips look so damn good!

The Magnaflow catbacks use either a single 3" before and after the muffler or single 3" in and dual 2.5" out, so the piping change will flow significantly greater than stock. Honestly, the manaflow catback is a joke to install on your driveway floor, and is a complete bolt-on....no need to find a muffler shop that is competent in welding just to still use restrictive stock 2.5" piping. I know a lot of you think 2.5" piping is enough, but look at the mustang. It has dual 2.25" piping all the way back, and with a lower HP, smaller engine. Even though replacing just the cat-back is only half of the restriction, it's still helping considerably.

Also, a correction to my first post on this topic...
I was incorrect about the magnaflow I have on order. I thought it was dual split rear side exit...basically a dual version of stock, but I was wrong. I discovered that the dual side exit system is like the 99+ Lightning style, which I didn't want. I changed my order to the SI/SO 3" system w/ 4" SS tip in the stock location. I will post results as soon as available.

This is seriously what I am considering as well. I may not use Magnaflow based on needing subsequent piping to dump the exhaust, but whatver can be used to retain the stock piping is what I'd go for. I just don't want to spend that tall of cash until the truck is paid off!!
