Tire question
I have ordered an 05' superduty. What is the largest tire that will fit a 17" wheel. What is the difference in a 35x12.5R17 and 315/70R17. If I lift it 3 inches, what size tire will fit and look well. Any pics. Thanks for yor input.

Tires are roughly the same size depending on manufacturer since some measure slightly different.
I have an '03 with 3in lift and 35x12.5x17's in my gallery, not an '05 but ride height appears to be the same. Depending on the backspacing of the wheels you will have minimal rubbing.

I answered your e-mail about the wheels, but as far as performance, I personally think it drives better with the lift. Primarily because of the new Bilsteins shocks. I am also preferential to the increased feeling of stability/heaviness the wider tires offer.
