Will it fit?

Does anyone know if the flowmaster American Thunder dual rear exit will fit with dual fuel tanks on a 96' F150 or will i just have to go with a single outlet? thanks

i did a search and went through 20 some pages of info but i cant find what i need, i dont really want to lay down 300 if i cant use it and all the muffler shops around here dont do mandrel bends.

Another idea i had was to buy the rear exit cat back, and remove my spare tire and use the support bar to hold up the exhaust. Do you think this would work with the cat as a way of getting around the extra fuel tank? Id probably fabricate some kind of hold down to stop it from rattling around. thanks guys

Just get a shop to make you an exhaust, dont worry about mandrel bends....you really think you are going to feel a difference between crimped pipe and mandrel bent......mmmm NO. If you look at a pipe that has been bent by a machine that doesnt do mandrel bends you will see that it doesnt even crimp it that much.....sure not enough to feel on a 5.0 or 5.8 what ever you have.

Its gunna sound the same too

I'll share my story of ram bent exhaust. I had a 73 F250 with a 360. I installed headers and dual exhaust exiting out the sides before the rear tires. Basicly one 90 degree bend. Fast foward a cpl years and I needed a new system because the first set of mufflers broke apart. I went to a muffler shop and decided to go over the axle and out the back to the sides. On my first trip out of town all my power was gone. I had to downshift to second gear and floor it up the hills. I complained to my Uncle and he took a look and said "it's your pipes". I took a hack saw and cut them off at the muffler. Problem solved. What started out as 2 1/4 inch tubing was reduced to less than 1 1/2" in the bends. Never again. If you must use ram bent system then upgrade to the next larger size tubing.

I dropped my truck off at the shop this morning, got 2 1/2" tubing all the way through from cat back, flowmaster 40 series SI/DO. I love the way it sounds, the interior noise isnt bad at all and the exterior is awesome. The only problem is that because of the fitment of the pipe and how close it is to the bumper, the biggest tip size i can go with is 2 1/2". still love my exhaust though
