Headers for 351W

Headers for 351W
Can anyone out in FTE land give me some guidance. I have a 1954 F-100 with the "volare" IFS and a 1979 351 W/C-4 combo. What headers will fit this engine and clear the "volare" steering box? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Steve

A 351W & volare clip?
I know a guy who has the same set up, his engine is 1" off set to the passagners side, he's having trouble finding Exhaust headders to fit also.
Is your Engine offset also?

Yes it is 1" off center to the passenger side. I am concerned about clearance between the block and frame on the passenger side and around the volare steering box on the driver's side. I have heard that Mustang shorties are the best fit but would like to hear from someone who has "been there, done that". Thanks again, Steve

I have a 351w and C4 combo in my 48 along with the Volare set up. My frame is two inches narrower than yours in your 54. I used a set of Sanderson block hugger headers and have no problems with the clearances on the steering box or passenger side of the frame however my engine is not offset.
