E40D 2nd-3rd rough shift
I've got a 98 F150 Ext cab swb with a 5.4 and a E4OD. I just installed my superchip max tuner. Now when Iam on it hard it has a rough shift from 2nd in to 3rd no matter what the shift pressure is or what the shift point is it still continues to do it and only in that shift. I then tried reinstalling the stock program and ran the truck for a thousand miles or so and it still continued to have the rough shift but not all the time. I reinstalled the tuner again this time running the premium program. When I was on it hard the transmission had a rough shift several times in that shift and pulled a slip code and kicked it in to limp mode (sucks when in the middle of nowhere). I then pulled the tuner out which cleared the code and then took it to the ford dealership but they couldnt find any problems. I also just flushed the transmission and changed the filter. Thanks for any help this is really starting to be a pain cause the warranty runs out in about 5000 miles. thanks again.
