ok so i got a 1976 ford ranger f150, and its been sitting in a grove in trees for like 10 or 12 years. well i've put a celonoid, battery, and starter in it but the engine is frozen, i've dumped tranny fluid in the spark plugs holes but it hasn't worked! i need some ideas on how to unfreeze this engine! anything will help! thanks
Pull the plugs and run kerosene through the engine, let it sit a while, then crank it over, done it on 3 different occasions when building derby cars- all three engines are running to this day!

once you get the engine to move a little you are going to have to
rock the crank back and forth in both directions with a socket and breaker bar, the rings will scrape a little more rust off each time..
Be careful not to force it to much and break the rings!!!!
P.B. blaster is the best stuff i've ever used so i say try that.
also as earlier mentioned make sure the valve train is free first,
I would also change the oil and prime the pump right before you start it
Putting a socket on the crank bolt is a bad idea. I tried this once and stripped the bolt.
There's only one way. Take off the flywheel inspection plate, and use small levers on the ring gear. Move the pistons back and forth in small increments until they loosen.
