hey all...here i am again with another issue with mom's new/used car
the battery light came on the other day and hasnt gone off...took to autozone and they tested the battery and charging system and test showed all systems good....any idea what else would cause this light to come on that may not have been recognized by the charging system test
thanks for the reply, but wouldnt the autozone charging systrem test show that there is a problem of some sort and even to suggest that the alternator is bad when the problem really is the volt reg
i could be entirely wrong i am just trying to use whatever common sensew that i have availible right now...
It should have probably shown a problem but maybe not.
How can I put this nicely.....Autozone isn't always 100% accurate in their diagnostics
A regulator should be quite an easy thing to try if you want to take a guess at it being the problem.
like Racerguy said man their equipment for the most part just test that it is charging...you may need to bring it to a regular shop to have it diagnosed properly....like Racer said as well i dont see too many ASE certified guys working the counters at Autozone
