I.D. on T-case

I just brought in a 12/1976 F-100 4X4,and it has the 360/NP435/??T-case.It has 2 mode's,either 2wd or 4wd.NO 4low/high.It's either your in 2wd or 4wd.I found the Dana tag on it but it doesn't have what model it is.It's super small,and doesn't bolt to the frame with a mount like the NP205.It just mount's by hanging off the tunnel of the back of the NP435.And it is super low geared!!!!The truck has a drum braked D44,and a 9" out back with 3:50's for gearing.if yea know what I have please tell me.Don't wanna sell or trade somethimg I might want!

I think you are describing a dana 24.

the shift *** say's 2wd or 4wd.That's it. If it is the Dana 24 are they gear to gear,and are they worth hanging on to.

Sounds like the Dana 24 to me too, no gear reduction in that one.

I think they are all gear, but nobody brags about hanging on to them. Sorry

It's a dana 21. used 66-76 only in 1/2 tons no low range. dana 24 is a divorce mount with low range, found in 72 and older f250s and 65 and older f100s.
