Fuel Injector noise when truck is turned off???
Hello I'm new to this website. I just recently bought a 1997 F150 XLT with the 5.4 triton V8. I think that I might have a problem with the fuel injectors. When I go to the turn the truck off it makes a cliking kind of sound for about 2-4 seconds on the right hand side of the truck near the intake I takes just a few seconds for it to do it when he truck is turned off. It sounds like that they are winding down or something. I checked my friends truck and it does the same thing but not nearly as loud as mine does. I'm pretty certain that it's the fuel injectors. Can anyone help me out and tell what I need to do to fix the problem or is this normal. Or should I try running fuel injection cleaner with my gas next time. Oh the truck has 120k on it. The truck starts up and idles and runs with no problem and it has plenty of power. Thanks for any reply.
