porting is it worth it

for a stock rebuild or a mild street build I would have to say no it's not worth paying someone to port your heads, if you have a die grinder, and want to clean them up a little fine but not paying someone to do it, the amount of hp increase just is too high better spend the same money on good parts, and make it dependable, or maybe having it balanced that would probably be cheaper than a port job, and do more good both for performance and longevity of the engine

I spent $225 to have my heads ported by someone that knew what they were doing, I think it was worth every penny. Yes I had the engine balanced also, it's a good idea if you want it to last.
