96 explorer keyless door pad question
Have purchased a used 96 explorer limited from non ford dealer.
He was unable to give us the code for the keyless entry and advised us to see a ford dealer.After reading the appropriate entry in the owners manual it advised that the code is taped to the side of the computer. But I have not been able to find the location of the computer.
Anyone out there know where ford put it?????????????

96 explorer keyless door pad question
I believe that the trucks are around the brake peddle and then way up near the top of the dash and hard to see.

96 explorer keyless door pad question
Hi! If you have a mirror and a flashlight, you should be able find it. The RKE computer is located where the jack is. When you open the door, stick your mirror in and you should find the code. From what I've heard from other people, it's at the bottom of the computer. Hope this helps!!

THANKS!
Found the keyless entry computer right where you said it was.
Had to remove one screw and slightly bend the mount to see the code. Didn't need a mirror but a bright light was a must.The code was on there and it works.
