1997 explorer engine failures

Our truck just turned over 54,000 miles and it needs a new engine.This is the same problem with coolant in the oil. Does anyone know if Ford is doing anything about this? It seems to be a common problem.:-(

If you have the 4.0 SOHC there may be a tie to the cam tensioner problem. Be sure you keep your receipt and hopefully you were able to validate the problem becaue you may be entitled to a refund from Ford. Check the rest of the Topics on this forum!
