I think I found it...

Howdy folks, to start with I'd like all to know this "forum" stuff is new to me. I've been looking but not partaking. Of all the sights I've checked out, (in my opinion) this is it. There are alot of sharp, informative and genneraly polite folks interacting here. Again, I'm new to this, go easy on me.

First a short background, then on to the first of what I'm sure will be many questions.

My 94 F150, 2wd looks great, but the 5.0 at 215,000 miles is starting to loose it's power. Regular maintenance and a few minor repairs have kept this beast very dependable. Thanks for FoMoCo...... After looking at the new line of trucks, the $$$$$$ got me looking at going through my 5.0 and press for the 500,000 mark on the odometer. I figure for 5 to 10 "new truck" payments I'll have this 94 running and pulling better than new.

I think what I have is.....
"94" 5.0 ( should be the roller motor) W/MAF, E4OD trans ( OD Button on the shifter).
What I'm after is......
Improved HP ( around the 300 mark ), More towing strength, and of course that all ellusive MPG factor. It is a daily driver.
What I have in mind is.....
along with the compleat rebuild,
Good all around cam, upgrade ignition sys. larger injectors, K&N air filtration/intake, headers, high flow cats, and true duel exhaust, one step taller on the ring and pinion, and possibly upgrading the chip.

this is getting too long winded, sorry bout that. I'll just through this out there and see what info/advice ya'all might have......

WHERE IS THE SPELL CHECK ?????

Thanks in advance.

i'm running my 90 5.0 with lunati camshaft, edelbrock shorty headers and intake, magnaflow (carsound) cat, flow-pro muffler and single exhaust. Tons more power. The mileage turned out to be about the same as before but just a little better. No ECM upgrades or anything like that at this point. I also don't have MAF obviously. I have an AOD and 3.55 rearend which tows just fine for me but everyone has their own opinion on what is best for towing. You are definately on the right track with your list of upgrades. I think you will be very pleased. I sure was. I'm not sure that i'm putting out 300 hp although i would like to think i am. You should be able to get more power out of your engine because of the roller cam and MAF
