Inside door cleanup

Hey guys,

Is there a good way to get inside doors and clean out and prep for paint?

I used a smaller type sand blaster on the inside. The outside you can sand by hand, sandblast just depends if you want to go to bare metal or just rough it up for paint.

I used POR-15's metal ready and cleaner by hand, cleaned and dried it thoroughly, then used a spray-on rust preventative from 3M.

I soaked mine in 1 part sulphated molasses to 3 parts water. Dissolves rust away
Applied phosphate wash (metal ready) then epoxy primer

A pickup bed lined with polythene makes a great soaking tank

Thanks guys for the info. but how in th world did you spray your paint into the inside of the door? Is there a way to take the door apart? still working on the esier parts of the project getting down to bear metal.
