I have read in other threads that you are a tattoo artist.

Is there anyone one paticular way to properly care for a new one?

I have several now from different artist's across the country & it seems like each one has giving me different care instruction.

This question is being brought up, because I'm getting a cover-up later today & that artist even gave me different instructions. He said not to get it wet for at least a week, but damn I have to take a shower every once in awhile.

 

I was always told to use A&D ointment mt tats and cover with a gauze pad for a week. I would imagine that the A&D keeps it from getting wet.

 

As I am always trying to learn new things, would you please define a "cover up" for me?
