The ones discussed here have been the SMOD and SROD, for Side Mounted Over Drive, where the linkage is on the side like an old top loader (this is a top loader tranny, but different from the original hi-po top loader) or BW T-10. The SROD is "Single Rail Over Drive" and uses an internal rail linkage.
No cable ops.
Also, these are probably too weak to go behind a 460.

You can go ZF, as those were made for 460 power, or original top loader with the priced like gold Gear Vendor, Ranger or other fine brand overdrive unit.
