OD Shift Light
'99 F250 PSD A/T, The OD shift light does nothing when I push the button. The Transmission seems to working alright. What now? Thanks

i think the button/light section pulls or twists off the shift lever. it is replaceable as an entire assemby. When you say transmission works alright, do you mean it loks out overdrive as normal, but the light doesnt come on?

I had same problem. wire going to od switch was cut in steering column. it seem to be common problem. i thought it was o.d. switch button also but repacing it did not fix. had to replace shifter . i think it cost about 150.00 p&labor . hope this helps.
