I also have a 93 f150 4.9 and I get the same thing....although I can sometimes see fuel seeping down the back of the tank if I look up under the back (Never enough to drip off and hit the ground though...)
I am hoping to take the tank out soon and take a look to see if it's the tank or not.

the front tank leaks on the top side pull the tank and look to see if you have any pin holes , also check the filler neck to see if the hose is dry rotted, cut, or broke
on the rear the bottoms will leaksespecially around the straps
