Old time beers

Thinking about beers I used to remember but don't see in stores anymore- Stroh's, Blatz, Carlings Black Label, Olympia, Goebels.

Anyone got some others?

I haven't seen Falstaff, Hamms, and Lone Star in years.

I have seen all of those beers in the last year at different stores. Mostly around college campus.

Schlitz is still alive and well, at least in Southwest Michigan. Hamm's disappeared a few years ago, I really liked it too. I really hope Pabst does not go away.

Being from Pittsburgh I always liked Duquesne.....Fort Pitt and Silver Top were other beers that were dropped. I don't know what was in it but one or two bottles of Schlitz meant an instant headache for me.. Down here in "Hellsville" I used to buy Brown Derby because it was $4.00 a twelve pack. The most "gas" producing liquid I ever drank.. A buddy of ours bought it for a hunting trip. Three guys in a small trailer on a deer hunt in the Kiabab was almost unbearable..... ..... I don't see it anymore and don't miss it..

My Dad was a big time Oly drinker.

Here's an interesting article on how Oly died:

Neat case history. Worth a look.

I don't see Buckhorn or Shaeffer around anymore - great cheap beer (emphasis on Cheap).
