Shocking advice!

OK, looking for some shock options for my truck.

Here's the vehicle
1996 F350 Reg cab 4x4

Here's the criteria
Smooth a ride as possible
No loss of control with occasional heavy loads

Anyone got any first hand experience with different setups?

Have you considered the Edelbrock shocks? They are a variabe shock that can adjust nicely to crummy terrain or a smooth road. There was a pretty good write up on shock comparisions in last months (I believe it was last month, it might have been back more) Four Wheeler magazine, check it out. As far as heavy load control, you may have to utilize overload springs for that.

If you are changing driving conditions occasionally you may want to consider an adjustable shock like the RANCHO RS9000 or KYB's adjustable shock. If you're not to thrilled about twisting ***** to adjust your ride KYB monotubes are a good bargain or you could pay a little more and spring for the Edelbrocks. I have tried all of them and so far for towing and offroading the RS9000 with the adjustable interior controls have worked best.
