Has anyone tried the Gibson cat back exhaust system from MotorHaven? I have a 03 Lariat 4x4 and want to improve hp and torq without making it too loud. What would be the best exhaust upgrades that I could install?
I don't know what is best, but I can tell you what mods I have made. I have a 98 F150 4x4, sc and I installed stainless Gibson headers and a 3" Maga Flow 40 catback system. My sound is not loud, I would describe it as mellow and husky and not at all anoying. If you review the exhaust thread you will see many posts by people with similar systems who are disappointed that their systems are not louder.
I have the Gibson cat-back system and love it. Dont know how much more
power I have but I sure like the sound. I got it from Truck Preformance.
Also put on Bilstien shocks, Helwig anti-sway bar, K&N AC, extra trans cooler,
Super Springs to keep it level when towing and a Trans-Go shift kit in the transmission. This thing is like a sports car now. I cant bring myself to trade it in or sell it, now thats its so much fun to drive. By the way, its a 99 excab, 5.4.
