I have heard of people running their trucks at the track and launching off in 4h for better traction. Is this a good pratice? Can the driveline take the stress? Anybody done it and had different results than using 2h?
On startup, there's actually less stress on the drivetrain, since the engine's torque is spread out front and rear!
I've heard of people running 2L doing damage to the rear end, due to the extra power of low gear, all going to the rear. (Really 4L but with the front hubs unlocked)
We talking standards or auto's ?
if autos, define LONG ?
cuz I've been doing it HARD for 32K+ miles and no ill effects except in the pit of my passengers stomach - or the lungs of the ricer as I blow smoke in his window !!!!
