If trany is auto it shif to Low Range in Park, no matter brake pedal. But be sure the truck is not resting on tranny park to shif in/out Low Range, because electric motor can't move shift fork if it is loaded.
To release park tension, just press brake pedal and hold while move tranny form park to neutral and then back to Park, now shift to Low Range.
