Wreck ?

I was just doing some research on the crash test worthyness of Ford Trucks (And SUV's) I have found neumerous ratings and then thay have the Gov. rating, but all of those test are at fixed point and fixed speed. I was wondering how Ford's do in the real world as far as getting in to wrecks? Anybody that has gotten into a wreck in a Ford please share, and it would be great if you had pictures!! Thank You!!!!

Well, a couple of years ago my wife and I flipped our 2002 Ranger over doing about 60 MPH. We both walked away with minor scrapes from broken glass. Of course we were both wearing our seat belts. Its about the only accident I have ever been in.

Ok, took me a little bit, but I found the link for the original pic I posted on here.

Well I hit a john deer tractor (4960 series) back in 2000, he was plowin snow and backed out in front of me. I totalled our '89 E150 conversion van, broke the steering column, and shoved it through the dash. I was running all of 35mph on ice, looked down to check my speed and then when I looked up there he was, I (in a panic attack) slammed the brakes hard, locked them up on ice and almost doubled my speed. When I hit I broke the windshield with my fist (I knew I was gonna hit him so I lined it up an let go.) I broke the back seats looose from their mounts and buckled the roof. I walked away, the guy on the tractor went to the hospital and was treated for a concussion, he busted the glass out of the side of his cab on the tractor with his head.

My little brother is a volunteer firefighter, and he says he never wants to drive anything other than a ford, and he's a die hard chevy guy. He's seen too many chevy drivers go away in the meat wagon from fender benders.

Just check out my gallery

Been in 3 massive accidents with 95 F-150s...all 3 I walked away without a scratch. Atleast 1 vehicle was totalled in all my accidents. My red truck was T-boned at about 50 mph (see pics). About a year before that I slid down a snowy bridge and rear ended a ranger. Totalled the ranger, new fender, bumper, radiator support, and battery for me.

In my green truck, an old lady decided to make her left turn while I was coming at her, couldn't stop and she took out my front suspension. $7000 paid to me in damage off that accident. She bent the TTB arm, broke the steering, bent the frame, snapped the driveshaft yoke off the diff, dented bumper, dented fender..etc etc.

Got a new lift kit, straightened frame, gearing in the diff, driveshaft, bumper, steering box, and superlift steering arms. Very nice outcome

i totaled my 95' ranger a few months ago it sure didnt take much to destroy that truck one ditch tore off the front tire ,warped the frame really badly, no suspension left, and of coarse the body damage (i didnt worry about the mechanical parts but im sure there was some problems atleast where tranny-engine joint)

i walked away fine even though i didnt wear a seat belt (and then got a ticket for leaving the scene) but that ditch 2'deep by 2' wide completely destroyed my little truck i was going about 60 though

My truck had some brown paint that came off the chevy on my bumpr. and thats it I just flipped him the bird and floored it. I was all over the road my rearend fishtailling and stuff. it was fun.

You can get a ticket if you crash into a ditch and leave? Why is that?

A single vehicle accident is still an accident. Fail to remain at the scene of an accident is a ticketable offense. Some nit-picker will want the ditch (public property) repaired.

I was a passenger in a 54 Ford car that went around a corner too fast and broke off a telephone pole. I cracked the windshield with my head and put a dent in the metal dash with my chin. I got a couple of stitches from my teeth cutting my lip. I was driving my 56 the next day. The car was a total. No seatbelts back then.
