Normal start-up question
I got my new(to me) ride,86 f-250 6.9 96k.On start-up when cold i get quite a bit of rattling(yes i know its a diesel!lol).I think i am hearing the valvetrain rattling defore the lifters pump-up as it only does it for about 10-15 seconds.After about a minute it drops its idle speed down so I am guessing there is a fast idle system on these trucks.This is my first diesel so I am in unfamiliar territory ,but a big THANKS to this site I am learning!
