steering column help
I took apart a steering column from a 68 f100 to install in my 66 that i converted over to auto trans.
My problem is that i forgor what way the arm that comes out of bottom of tube that the rod hooks to goes. does it face up or down.

It should be facing away from the firewall. If you put it on backwards it will not clear the fire wall retainer and the clamp will not go on. Use plenty of white grease on this part and use the best bearing you have.
