Well, not being an expert leaves me out of answers here. And no, that doesn't seem right at all.
Time for the real experts to step in.

You can't measure the voltage at the plugs without a special meter. There is thousands of volts at the sparkplugs.

ok i didnt know it seemed logical enough to test'em
but i tried to pull codes and it didnt seem to work where the hayes told me to connect my voltmeter there was constant voltage even without the key on it was steady no flashing
and there was no flashing in the cab

i hooked the two prong plug to the no. 2 slot on that pentagon shaped eec test plug with a jumper wire and ran my voltmeter to the number 4 slot (one down one left of No. 2)
is that not right?

sorry im draggin this on as u can see i really dont know what im doing here and thanx for being patient i hafta move next friday morning and i kinda need my truck to run

so how do i test my neutral switch would that keep it from startin? or keep it from cranking over at all

but i am gonna work as hard as i can all weekend NOTHING makes me more embarrased then giving up to the s-h-o-p
tonite i am replacing coil, inspecting my ecu, and since my voltage test at the plug was worthless im gonn find a way to test for spark
