But I'd love to have a motorcycle some day. I used to ride on my dad's Honda 90 trail bike, and that was always fun. I'd like to get a little trail bike to go around on when we go camping...
But I'd also like to get a Harley Sportster some day, or maybe a Triumph...

Usually no more than two.
I rode for about seven years. I had three 40 inch (650cc) bikes, a Triumph T110, a Triumph Boneville(sp), and a BSA Rocket. I had a 500cc BSA Gold Star single. The only Harley I had was a 61 inch knucklehead springer chopper. My favorite was the Triumph B which was full race with 2 carbs, a one gallon tank, a Bates racing seat and a high 2 into 1 exhaust. It weighted just over 300lbs, was fast for the time and was an excellent field trials bike. During that time, I was in some event almost every week .... a poker run, a rocket run, a riddle run, field trials, drags, a powder run, tag, hill climbs .... It was alot of fun, but I finally quit. I never wanted to just ride from point A to point B.

My present bike doesn't get used nearly as much as the previous one. In the '90s I would generally take at least 1 or 2 trips a years of 1000 miles or more. The longest was from Buffalo, NY to northern British Columbia (5500 miles in 2 weeks).

'89 Honda NX650 enduro (also called a "Dominator" in Aus) - hardly ride anymore, but still do from time to time - last time I trailered it Upstate I dislocated my shoulder after getting launched over the handlebars
Never "tour", hardly ever went more than 35 miles in one sitting (rough on the gluteus) - lots of off-road with it though. Loads of fun ...
Since it's an Enduro, I HAVE used it some to commute to work and general on-road driving.
EDIT: but not in the last year or so...
