problems, please respond

I have an 04 I bought in May, not sure of the motor build date. I first experienced problems with the turbo spooling up and down at constant throttle while driving at 55-65 mph. Also, once in a while, the truck would shutter or shake hard for a couple of seconds during normal driving. Also, while pulling up to a few stop lights pulling a boat (before stopping the light would turn green) I mashed to pedal and NO response for maybe 100 feet, then it would take off as normal. Took it to the dealer, he reprogrammed the computer. Next trip with boat (not engaging tow/haul) while approaching stop light, mashed accelerator = No power but strange whooshing/roaring sound from right front wheel well. And the turbo still surged. Back to dealer - replace throttle assembly. The turbo is not surging a badly but I am still experiencing shuttering and loss of power. Sometimes I crack the truck and it runs fine, others (after running 20 miles and recanting later) I will mash the gas and the engine will sound real dull then after a couple of seconds it will sound normal and pick up to speed. Last night (after driving 20 miles I stopped and filled it with diesel) the dull sound returned. I eased on the accelerator, little power and lots of surging and shaking (felt like it wanted to cut off). I have done some research on these forums and believe it may be caused by EBP sensor, turbo actuators, EGR valve, VGT sensors, wire harness (chafing), cracked tubing, etc. SORRY for the LONGGGG description, please reply. Thanks

Sounds much like mine...with no power, shuttering back and forth even when engine is warm. No power then picks up anywhere from moving to standing still. I special ordered it an got in May as well.

I was told by my dealer that they have a flash? Anybody know if this is true?

Also these motors have different smell of diesel than the old 7.3 motors. ANybody noticed the smell.

I am located in Raleigh, NC. I took it to dealer in Pittsboro, NC. I bought it at Wynn Odem Ford in Lagrange, NC. I looked on the passenger side valve cover (I thought it was suppose to be on the drivers side) and found the build date 2004. The vechile id number is
1FTNW21P44EC81515. Thanks for the help
