I took Thursday and Friday off and did with the help of my brother over the "long" weekend. It only took one day to pull it and tear it down and identify all the "extras" needed (that's why I wanted to start on Thursday so I would have Friday to buy parts while all the tranny shops were open). We then spend Friday gettting the parts and putting it back together. We had it reinstalled and driving down the road by about 11pm on Friday. Not near as bad as I expected...

looks like the friggin gas pedal was sitting too low to the floor to activate the kickdown... jammed it down hard on the highway today and it roared to life. guess the cable is streched...
