Talking how big a clutch

i junked my 86 f250 .it has a 300/6/t18 4 speed.im going to put it in my 71 f250 .how big a clutch will fit in the bellhousing.the bellhousing is a 71 from a 240.i traded the 390 for all the manual clutch parts.

I installed an 11" clutch in my 67. Was originally 10" . clutch, flywheel and pressure plate came from donor vehicle. "78 van

Hey, I have been looking into that for down the road. Does the starter have to be changed, or does it use the same ring gear on the flywheel? If all you have to change is the flywheel and clutch, should be a fairly cheap and easy upgrade. Ted

I used the same starter. the flywheels were the same except for the pressure plate bolt holes. I swapped from 240 to 300 6 cyl. and installed t-18 trans from a 73 FE truck
