exhaust problem
Hello All
I have a 2003 F250 SD CC 4x4 5.4l 373 Shortly after buying the truck the weld on the heat shield on the y pipe broke. I took it to the dealer and there fix was to put a aluminum screw calmp on it. I told them that that was unacceptable. Becasue the broken weld caused a crack in the pipe. They told me to watch the pipe. I did....Now the pipe has developed spider cracks in it. I took it back to the dealer today and they re welded the heat shield and told me that there were no cracks in the pipe and they wouldn't replace it. So now I guess I'll go to Ford and complain. It just bites me that I know the pipe will eventually keep cracking under the vibration. Has anyone else had problems like this?
