Charging Probs
Okay. my truck's been down for awhile, and im finally gonna bring it here. my batt was running down and had a hard time starting. when running the headlights were dim, power was low, etc. put a new alternator in it. nothing. new voltage regulator. nothing. i checked wires, connections, everything i could think of. nothing. the battery charges up and holds a charge, but thats the only thing left that i can think of. i even took the alternator in and had it tested, and its fine. any input is greatly appreciated. thanks in advance.

This diagram shows basically what you have if you have a factory ammeter in the dash.
One thing I would check is make sure the black/red wire has continuity to the battery positive. Sometimes this wire has a fusible link in it that can burn open.
