go to a used truck dealer, or a detail shop and get the old 5 inch pipes off of a big truck and just run them up. everything can be had for less than 100 bucks if you buy the 5 inch stacks used, some places will give them to you. If you were around here I would give em to you, we have alot of them, but why you would want it on a pickup, I will never know.

why not? I see plenty of stacked Cummins around here. It's a diesel and he already has it straightpiped, so why not go to the extra look and sound of stacks.

Nothing cooler than a diesel spewing out black smoke out of twin stacks!

Man - I just put stacks on my truck a few weeks ago and there ain't nothin' cheap about it. I spent about $600 on all the parts and did all the rest myself. I dunno what to say.
I guess if you could buy all straight tubing and somehow make up the bends yourself that would save a bunch of moo-lah. Making your own splitter pipe would save a bunch too - but if you get that crooked then it'll be awful hard to get everything else set up straight from there. I'd suggest you check E-bay for some parts too - but I didn't have any luck there except for my actual stacks - got 'em for real cheap!

Most people run one pipe into the bed and then split it, I bought all my parts from napa it cost around $500. I built a cross tube for my friend's dodge out of a piece of 5x5 square tubing with a 4 inch inlet and dual 5 inch outlets it only cost probably $50 for materials it sounded good and smoked perfectly (don't forget to put the splitter in the inlet) but it was too loud for him so he took them off.

a y pipe from vanbarco is around 100 bucks, it is 5 inch, and then you can run two 90' bends up form there. You could probably get the 90' bent chrome pipes to a miter cut or turn out at a truck shop www.interstateturbo.com and do it that way. Most of you guys make this stuff way too hard.

whos making it hard? On my truck i did just what you said but he asked how to do it CHEAP i paid 125 for the splitter t $30-$40 for the 90s two of them in five inch and one four inch, i had to buy the whole piece of 5 inch tubing (10 ft) to get the foot or so i needed that was $50, I had to buy a whole roll of flex again 10 ft that was around $40, also had to get a 4-5 inch reducer $20 then have to get the band clamps and stacks. But I was happy getting it done for $500 beats buying a kit for $750

Why can't it be done cheaply? I got mine done for about $270. I went to the local truck parts dealer and picked up two new 5" x 36" curved tip stacks for $125. Then I went to a local exhaust shop and had them split my 3" pipe and run two 3" pipes underneath and around and up through pre-cut holes in the box up to the top of each bed rail. Then I built plates to mount the stacks to and inserted the 3" pipes into each stack. Welded around each pipe and that was that. See pics in my gallery.

Most of the time when people go into a truck parts place and make it obvious that you are putting truck stacks on your pickup, you will pay full list. A good friend of our family runs interstate turbo in commerce city colorado and people come in and get charged full list on stuff like that. Most of the time they have enough oddball pieces in 3 1/2-5 inch pipe laying around that you can practically get for nothing. I'm guessing that it could be done for 215-220 bucks if you did it right. No need to spend 500-750 for something that can cost less than half.
