I just finished installing the Edge mini spring pak and 4" F350 rear block on my 02 F250. The leveling kit made the rear end look too low, but the 4" block really improved the look (slightly higher in back). I was afraid the ride was going to be too rough, but it actually felt better - firm, but more controlled. The body doesn't roll whenever I make a turn and the steering feels more responsive. I am very happy with the look, ride, and quality of the parts.
The Edge mini spring pack was $225 from SDHQ. The 4" block, u-bolts, nuts from Ford dealer was $180. I did it myself, but I wouldn't want to install the spring pack again. It took me several hours. I had a hard time lining up the springs and front axle. I think it was because I didn't remove the track bar when I did it. The bolt/nut required a huge metric wrench that I didn't have. Plus I think you're supposed to torque it back together to 370 ft. lbs.
The rear blocks were very easy to replace. I just lifted up the back end by the hitch with a thick industrial nylon strap and a forklift. I would not recommend doing this as it is very unsafe. Or you will need very large jack stands to reach the frame in the rear. Had it done in less than an hour.
This is exactly what I've been thinking about doing.
Do you have any pics?
Why did you decide to go with Edge? Other than install the springs and blocks, did you have to adjust the driveshaft or any of the other suspension/steering components?
well i did a hanger kit on my 99 3in leveler {already had 4 in block on it} the track bar is a bitc.. to put back on had a use a come-a-long. been thinking about what u did to my 03,,,, by the way i also live near chicago

I have pics, but for some reason the site is not letting me setup my gallery. It keeps telling me I have to login to edit my gallery even though I'm already logged in. Help! Suggestions?
Anyway, I had heard good things about the Edge on this site. A user named Sparky04SD said he was happy with his, so I decided to do the same thing. I wanted a mild lift to compliment my 285 tires. I don't really like the look of trucks that are lifted too high. Besides, its not very practical to have a lot of lift and huge tires here in the suburbs of Chicago.
I didn't adjust any steering components or the driveshaft. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I heard that its not necessary unless you go higher than 3". I may put some new shocks on in the future, but the ride feels good with the stock ones. Like I said before, I didn't remove the track bar which is probably why it was so hard to line up the front springs and axle. I had to use a cable puller between the front and rear axle to line things up.
1olddog2, I've heard of Midlothian but I don't know where it is. I'm in Aurora.
CarlF250: Glad everything worked out for you. I had Bilsteins installed with the Edge kit & 4" blocks. What a difference they made. Much better rebound control on rough road which gave me a smoother ride. I too like a more modest lift in my trucks. I'm happy with the 2" of lift I have and won't go higher. Like you, higher isn't real practicable in the cities and especially for my use as a towing machine for my trailer.
