olbud,
the cabs should be the same, the only problem you may incurr is the mount up going from a 72 to a 77 due to the different genereations. im in the process of taking the cab from a 70 f11 and movung it and bed to a 71 f250 4x4. i am by no means an expert, just thought id throw out what ive been seeing so far

Im not positive but I do believe the frame is wider on the 77 than that of the 72. meaning your mounting points will be located in diiferent areas. At least I know I have a 73 f-100 and the frame on that is wider than my 71 f-100, not for sure with the f-250s.
