Power to computer

Loss of power and check engine light. Can't pull the codes with a snap on reader and the self test won't work on this model. Any ideas of how to get code out without a dealer trip. Also, anybody got a pin-out on the computer? It had melted on of the wires going to fuel bowl, problally water sensor.

This is the wrong place to ask about computers. The only computer in my pre power stroke truck is the laptop behind the seat that runs on XP Pro.

Pin out is;
2 1394 Firewire
4 USB 2.0
1 Parallel
2 PS/2 ports
10/100 network port
56k modem

Sorry, but I had to do that though. First laugh I had today.
